    Hey,

Does christmas still excite you? I ask this because I had a discussion about this earlier with my flatmate. He's not really looking forward to it because he says his family don't really celebrate it anymore as he's now grown up.

Personally I still love it - the way people decorate their houses, how stalls open up in the center of town to sell candy etc... Makes me excited :)

Anyway please vote in the poll. :D

    Thanks,

    Hodge

it does, but in a much different way than when I was younger.

I love getting to see my extended family but I don't see them often, and I tend to get really excited about giving people gifts rather than being too concerned over getting them. :)

in vietnam they don't celebrate christmas like we do in europe or the US, so i'll have fun taking some drinks on the 24th and i guess that's all! No gifts, surprises, turkey, good wine ;) not like that... so that's why i voted no.

This Christmas is one of the promising Xmas for me. My girl told me that she will make my Christmas like I've never experienced before. She will make it a very memorable one.

It does but it's not so much about "getting stuff" anymore.

Now it's more that I just like the Christmas feeling, and time of year because of the memories I have. I like to go shopping in the really busy times of year, such as Christmas Eve... Day after Thanksgiving, all that.

I definitely am a Christmas fan though. ;)

Yeah Christmas doesn't excite me in the same way as before either. For me it's all about the feeling you get from when you were younger + the fun of meeting up with family again. :)

Christmas excites kids but only because they dont realize how much it costs and how much work it is. I get no joy out of christmas whatsoever.

A lot more people dislike christmas that I thought actually... At this point 33% of people dislike christmas.

    Personally I'm a bit surprised.

I love Christmas. Oh, sure, it isn't the actual birth date of Jesus, but it is a holiday filled with promise, warmth, and light.

Having young children brings out the excitement too especially as you recapture the wonder that is in their eyes.

Maybe if we put on our "child like" eyes we can each enjoy a very special Christmas season.

I still enjoy Christmas but I find everything is starting way too early. I remember when the Christmas season used to start after the Amercian Thanksgiving but now I walk into the mall in late October and some stores already have their decorations up and are playing Christmas music.

And once the big day has finally come I am just relieved it is over with... now I can stop thinking of shopping and cards and focus on getting those Christmas songs out of my head.
