Does wordpress work for blogging only?

Does wordpress only work for blogs or it's a good idea for websites too?
I launched my website with wordpress, but now am thinking it would be better to do in simple html code. Wordpress plugens are killing me.

 

No wordpress works for sites also. There are several sites used by a restaurant or pressure washing company etc. The theme is the key. What issues are you having with plugins?

 

I have problems with SEO there. I don't want to create directories and posts. I just want one article = 1 page. A page with meta descriptions tag.

 

What the best you can do is, having a website and a blog where you can update this website so it always has fresh contents. Google loves fresh contents, as far as i know.

 

wordpress is not just limited to blogging.. its best for website and SEO friendly too. If you need for one article = 1 page just go for simple html/css coding or psd to html process. It is also possible with wordpress though.

 

matt cutss has come out and mentioned wordpress press as a SEO ready CMS, so if Mr G likes it then it must be good...
it can be used for may things, admittedly it does need a bit of tweaking but it works for small business websites, membership sites, ecommerce sites and much more..

Wordpress is more than a blogging software

 

Wordpress used to be just for blogging. Now themes support multiple ways to use it including homepages and such.

Wordpress is the best for other websites too. I create all kind of websites in wordpress.

 

you can make unlimited page with WP and all in one seo pack will generate your keyword and description, although you can fill that yourself.

but if you have a bit knowledge about html and css, i suggest you to make yourself since WP do frequently update

 

Wordpress can create many kinds of website, it has various plugins and templates

but its main purpose is still for blogging
