Does word cloud link have any worth?

I had seen people buying word cloud links. Generally this links are on home page, having 3-6 PR. This page is full of irrelevant links. Suddenly one question comes in my mind; does this word cloud links have ability to pass the PR? Dose these links have some worth? I had not yet tried this kind of links, so it’s very difficult for me to make any comment on this issue. If some of you guys had tried these word cloud links, do share your experience.

When I check my backlinks on yahoo (which I think lists most important ones first) one or two word cloud links are in the top 20 so I think they do have some worth. They are usually only $5-$10 at most too.

 

Yes they have importance.

 

A link is not a link, they are all different so it all depends on the word cloud.

If it's from a dropped PR4 domain with no remaining backlinks and 200 URL's on the page, it's not going to be worth nearly as much as a PR6 heavily backlinked and aged domain with say 10 links up.

 

We can’t compare these links with Yahoo. When I check links for my site on yahoo, even "nofollow links" are considered, for yahoo link is a link.
But the question is, does it pass the Page Rank? Because most of word cloud have no content and irrelevant links.

 

I think that it does help your website a bit.
