Obviously most have probably already heard, but McCain and Palin had more viewers for their speeches than did Obama and Biden. Here is how I analyze it though. According to the PEW statistics Republicans are equally informed, perhaps more informed than Democrats on politics. Another thing to note from the study was that the older generation watches more television to get their news and rarely touches any other source outside of perhaps a newspaper. According to a study done in 2006 by the US Census Bureau the older crowd overwhelmingly factor in to the majority of voters. To me, this indicates that the race for President is at minimum very close. The younger crowd might be enthused about Obama for 2008, but they traditionally don't make it to the polls. I believe the conservatives will again have a huge say in this upcoming election.
