Hello everyone - my first post. I have a small home care health business in the Toronto area. I built a simple web site and waited a week or so - got indexed by google and listed at page 18 for my key search term. I then set up my AdWords campaign. Checked for my natural results and noticed that my index page had fallen of but two of my other pages, my services.html and my contact.html page were listed on page 21 for my search term. Two days later my site was completely gone from the natural search results. All my pages are still indexed by google and my AdWords campaign is still going with no problems. I just dont know why I've fallen out of Googles search results. I have paused my AdWords campaign to see if this makes any difference. Any suggestions. BTW my site is www . adulthelp . ca and my key search term is "home care toronto". Thanks
Adwords and natural search do not affect eachother. If it's a new site, it's very common to see your natural rankings going all over the place because Google doesn't know where to rank you yet. Many times from what I've seen with my sites and others is that when you first get indexed, you get a big boost and rank well and then you fall off. Just keep getting solid links to your site ,adding content, etc. and eventually you'll start to rise again.
Thanks very much Ryan - it is a new site, only a month old. Perhaps you are right - I'll just have to wait and see.
Yes in the initial days, Google "Bombs" a few of the Organic Results for a new site. Nothing strange in that. Mind you, it has got absolutely nothing to do with your advertisement in Adwords. Just concentrate on building on new/fresh links and update your site with fresh and original content and be patient. The result will start flowing. And meanwhile your site comes up in the organic listings, you can again start your PPC campaign. Thanks
