I have seen some sites ranking on top for many very hard competitive kws. And the techniques that sites uses are purchasing many domains. Then promoting all of them and using a 301 redirection and redirecting them permanently to the main domain.. Wht my question is does that works? i mean is it helps in pr or SEO or serps in any manner. and if it works then what is basics behind it..
Unless you promote every domain name no. Those redirects are only useful if they already have been indexed and have inbound links to the top level of the domain.
I do not think it helps to use 301 redirection.. If you build sites and promote them and build links from them then it is a different story//
I agree that this would not work, common sense would also tell you know. Googles algoriths would not accomodate this as we all know google is looking for naturaly good pages. blank pages with no redirects would not fall in this catagorie.
redirection has nothing to do with ranking high on SERPs. Proper SEO (on-page and off-page as well as site promotion) is the key to achieve a decent SERPs position
Which sites ? can u show here. Because I don't think this is going to work. Buying cheap-mortgage-in-austin.info is NOT going to get the domain in top of serps immediately or with no effort. And low returns keyphrases are not worth enough for the effort
