    Hi,

    Can you let me know what you think of my friend's website www.promotionalcodes.org.uk please?

    It was coded by an overseas developer who has done some previous websites for my friend. I have checked the page weight of the homepage and it is 123k but it feels slow to load when compared to other websites.

    Questions
    1) Do the site feel slow, normal, or fast to you?
    2) If it feels slow, can you pin point why it takes too long to load?

    Yes it does seem to be quite slow :( The loading bar increases really quickly until the last little bit where it hangs for a few seconds before finishing

    The page involves CSS which is calling many images. I think that some of the images have not been rendered in the right manner to be of low size. Take a look at them, if you still need help PM me and I will do a proper check into it.

    I saw your website it seems to be quite slow. Your site contains a lots of images and the font of your content is very big. You need to change the size of your font and check for the proper calling of images in CSS.

    From UK , your site seems to me bit slower. You can check your website download time and compare with normal load time.

    It may be the hosting provider you are with. If your account is on a shared server you will also be sharing the internet connection, and you never know you may have been plonked with someone who's hogging up the speed!

    The first seconds you see nothing. Then it loads fast. Maybe servers in a far country with bad connections or such?
