I have a client who wants to order 100,000 fliers that will need to be shipped over seas. The cost is shipping is going to be $3800. The client requested a certain shipping company and game me the email He said he would bay the total cost (about $10,000) in full before we begin working. At first he said he lived in Alabama then once I sent a invoice with my location being in BC he said his location was over in Europe, isn't that fishy? Is it possible he made up a fake shipping company and once I print the fliers and pay the shipping the shipping company never comes and then he takes back the original $10,000 or gets my bank account frozen? What are the risks. Would you go through with this order? Do you think its a scam?
Go ahead. Why not? He paying you $10k first. You have nothing to lose if your total cost is not exceed $10k Coz $3800 for shipping and then add the cost of your printing.
if he will pay you $10k before you will start the deal, it is ok, just make sure you sign contract with them in case if he complain later due to any reason
You need to make sure the money clears your bank before you ship anything or perform any services. That can take several weeks after deposit. Honestly, it looks suspicious to me. If you google that email address, this is what comes up: http://airtimeshippers.wetpaint.com/page/HEAD+&+CORPORATE+OFFICE That says their "head office" is in Ghana.
Sounds like them dam Africans scamming! Get a hold of him over the phone, get a copy of his license. Get all his info just in case he/she screws you!
