Doing it for a client/friend. Dont know to much about seo apart from the basics. If you can find anything majorly wrong please post it, does not have to be much.

    Thanks.

I took one glance and can tell you that this site needs alot of work when it comes to seo. You should just pay some one else to do it since it is not your field.

One suggestion is to do some keyword research and make sure you put those in your title tags.

For example your books page has the title of "books". You need to put more info in there that is related to the page.

    Seconded

Not a bad looking site but I don't imagine too many people are ever going to find it without a lot of work SEO wise.

[edit] the forums look active - where's the traffic coming from?

    Hi Max Powers,

I will point out three critical issues that the site is facing in terms of SEO.

First, shorten the META Keywords tag. It will do the site no good in stuffing all the keywords into one tag on a page.. try to spread out the keywords according to the pages. For example, you do not need the 'articles' in the 'events' page.

Second, i cannot find any header tags in the page..and this is really bad. The webmaster is missing a good chance to get the page ranked. Tags like H1, H2 are essential.

Third, some of the titles for the pages are 'Events' and 'Articles' respectively. Ask the webmaster this question, does he wants users to find this page when they keyed in 'Events' in the serch engine? If no, then probably he / she should change the title to better describe the content.

    Hoep it helps :)
