Well, go through their TOS with a fine toothed comb, and tell me if you see anything that makes you say it's not allowed.

I've gone through it a couple times myself, and I couldn't fine anything.

The only thing that "might" apply is #13 in the TOS...

    Representations and Warranties. You represent and warrant that (a) all of the information provided by You to Google to enroll in the Program is correct and current; and (b) You are the owner of each Site or that You are legally authorized to act on behalf of the owner of such Site(s) for the purposes of this Agreement and the Program;

    (bold is my edit).

Well, I would say that since I'm the owner of this site, and I'm the one setting it up for users to do, that pretty much makes user's here authorized to do it.

I agree, Shawn, which is why I participated in it. I believe it's all cool. I was just pointing out the only part I could find that would have any bearing on it whatsoever.

    hah, probably.

I'm just a bit paranoid about it- I've seen so many horror stories about accounts getting cancelled when they didn't do anything remotely wrong.

I wouldn't worry about it, no harm no foul. If Shawn starts running a bot to generate false clicks to get us all in trouble now, then we are in for it. lol

hah, a bit off topic, but I clicked the domosearch link in your sig- the first adsense ad was:

    Gay Cards at Pink Rainbow
Quirky cards for gays, friends, family. Union, birthday, love, etc.

    :)

As for accounts getting cancelled, most of what I've heard is that Google usually emails you first if they notice something wrong with you're account and gives you a chance to correct it. They are also pretty responsive when it comes to questions you may have.

In this case, I think Shawn has more than done his homework on this and would easily be able to show that this is a legit deal if Google were ever to make an issue of it.

no, not here, on my own site :)

Although it wouldn't hurt to ask them about it here, but if they said no it would really ruin it.

I would like to add that I think it's a wonderfull idea and it brings a whole new meaning to the "just my 2 cents" thing.

I liken this whole thing to asking your boss a question about anything. If it's not really that big a deal then don't worry about it. B/c they might notice something else that they think is a big deal then you've potentially worse off then before. Not that I speak from experience ;)

But seriously, if you show you've done your homework (i.e, C.Y.A.) then you don't have anything to worry about. And I think Shawn's done that.

Is anyone earning anything from the revenue sharing program. I am interested in understanding how it works as I checked the source code of a few pages and got the same pub ID number?

I should learn to scroll :) Was that added recently? I have never clicked the adsense ads incase the ID was mine. I guess I can now click without worrying.
