Does This Page Look Spammy?

I wanna see if i have gone overboard.

Please tell me if the page (http://www.pocketfund.com/) looks like spam so i can change it.

well, the title, then the header, then the first heading look like spam. but i like the idea.

 

No it doesn't look spammy to me. Spammy would be more advertisements than content.

 

have u deliberately made a mistake of "want" ?

I think u need to reduce the width of the site by 15-20%.Also change the color from blue. Make is more liight color.

Try to highlight some words to stand them out. THan again post it here, I will see again.

My impressions.
When I land on the site. I have a hard time understanding what exactly you are offering, yea I understand the free money part.
Things I would consider.
Header - maybe something more professional? If you are giving away money perhaps you should have some sort of a money type image and or colors? A money theme for your site?
Page Layout- Images is something I would add. As you outline the process have a little image next to it.

As being a new site Credibility is something you are going to have to build. To help you do that I would try and create a more professional front page (remove hand scripted text and change to a clean font etc)

I think you need more padding/space on the sides. The main text is too close to the edge.

 

i do not trust sites with title "Free Money"

im defintly no expert but your desgin is interesting...but also when i see things like FREE MONEY i tend to think of those annoying infomercials lol

 

A little bit too much of the word "free" in it - but apart from that, I don't think it looks too much like spam or so.

 

I think it looks spammy. When I see it I think immediately that its selling me something, not offering content. I agree you should bring in the edges about 20 percent too.

very excellent design! the ads at the top is well placed, since lots of people like to click header, that's probably the first place they'll look. cell padding is suitable.

"latest winners' is also a good idea since it'll just give people a peek into what people are winning. so is "this month's question" -> "omg i know the answer to that one!" and rushes in to sign up.

i love this design. it's i think a job well done.
