Does this matter?

Does it matter if I have a link coming back to TheLoveQuilt.com instead of www.TheLoveQuilt.com, or is it the same?

I have used some link checkers, and for TheLoveQuilt.com, there are links that are not bouncing back to www.TheLoveQuilt.com, so I was confused.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Both are different. You are asked to keep a preferred one if you can check in to your google webmaster tool either with www or without www

 

Yep, search engines are crawling these as tweo different pages under the same domain. You need to select which way you want to display your urls - with or without the www (it doesn't matter which, just is whichever your preference) - then redirect the other url type to the one which you want it to display as through your htaccess file. Until you do that your not getting the full benefit of all the links you're getting as they are technically going to 2 different pages.
