Does This Look Good To You?

Hey guys and gals.

Im launching a new business, webmaster and finance blogging service on Feb 1st. Last touches been put to the site now.

Here is a screenshot of my members area. What do you reckon? I want it to be good-looking and simple for users.

I love the icons but if your desire is simplicity, loose the folder. When looking at it your eyes trick you into thinking they are all the same. If you are stuck with the folders in the design, try changing the colors so they are not all blue.

 

Hmm... it looks different between the main page & member page. Does it supposed so?

My honest comment on main page: very nice! The color scheme & ads blending are perfect! The aim/purpose of the site is also written very well at the main page. Kudos to you, man! Keep up the good work .

p/s: why do I comment on main page? Because there is the place for you to attract more people. After they've joined, they wouldn't care much about the member page then

Thats because the members area provides a completely different function so it looks completely different, and the main page will have an updated logo in a couple of months.

Ive asked for opinions on the members page because once members have signed up it is vital that they use the service! Otherwise they are just wasting my webspace.

i really like the icons. i think that you should edit them a little though. try using fireworks of another editing program to remove the grey background so it blends with the page better.

I think I will leave it as it is for now. And then when I have built up a member base I will see what they think of it.

I love the icons! I would change the aqua header on top, I thnk the orange clashes with it.. maybe try making the blue more pale and changing the orange to another color? Looks great so far!
