Hi, I was thinking about paying for submissions to the big huge directorys like the one below, BUT I have a couple of questions 1) will they help my serp positions? 2) Will they increase my traffic flow? 3) will they help my pr rating? 4) can anyone share results? I would be using the "sponsored" or "paid" listing on alll the following Bluefind.com (Google page rank 8/10) Uncoverthenet.com (Google page rank 7/10) Sevenseek.com (Google page rank 7/10) HotVsNot.com (Google page rank 7/10) Joeant.com (Google page rank 6/10) Site-sift.com (Google page rank 6/10) Info-listings.com (Google page rank 6/10) Bigall.com (Google page rank 6/10) Ezilon.com (Google page rank 6/10) Seoma.net (Google page rank 5/10) Aroundtheweb.com (Google page rank 5/10) Thanx in advance Joe
When submitting to directories, make sure they are giving their sites real links back, and not some long redirect scripts. Don't judge a directory by its page rank. Don't pay for a directory that requires a reciprocal link back. For rankings, you're better off submitting to niche directories than general ones, if you're going to pay anyway. Search for "keyword + directory" or "keyword + submit site, url, link: add site, url, link: suggest url, site, link" etc. I would stick to the best ones, JoeAnt, Gimpsy, Business.com, About.com, GoGuides and Best of the Web. Here's a great resource to help you out with your prioritizing: http://www.123promotion.co.uk/directorymanager/?order_by=123rank&order_type=desc you can see the submission prices at a glance as well. You can also see objective reviews of the directories. Best way to not get scammed.
