    Do you mean here:
    http://mazda5.ca/mazda_forum/viewtopic.php?id=2

Other than 'Google AdSense Sponsor' I think its fine, but you could always ask Google? They are pretty quick to respond to this sort of thing.

"Publishers may not label the ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements."

Is it yours, or are you looking to implement a similar placement technique?

Ok, that took me by complete surprise. I had to look a few times. I see. Hmmm.. I do not know. I would suggest asking Google if it is ok.

    That certainly is clever though!!!

I saw it straight away, I think it's ok but check with Google to be safe.

IMHO - the whole site should be cut off. I'm so tired of these fakey made for adsense sites that simply put a few RSS feeds on the page (this one from topix) sticks up the maximum allowed adsense blocks on there (3 - 1 above content, 2 below). (Where is the adlinks one, come on - surely it can be squeezed in there too).

Then top it off with the most unreadable color patterns (blue links on a blue background) to ensure navigation is virtually impossible...and viola, we got a website!

    But wait! There's more!

Add a forum, stick ads in there who poses as an actual poster so people will "naturally" read the ads and click away yet again.

What ever happened to, oh I dunno, actually making content and developing a site?

    +1.
But the more important point is; at 800x600 screen resolution, only the half of the third ad on the right side of the block can be seen. The "Ads by Google" link completely disappears at this res., which is strictly forbidden.

I think you should take care of that, this could seriously get you banned.

I know what you mean, I've got a friend who gets completely lost trying to search for info on the web now and its hilarious to see him crash from site to site in a hail of advertising. He's slowly getting the hang of using the back button when he spots the obvious clues that a site is c**p. My fear is that other web users will pick up on the fact that adsense = bad site and avoid anything with a Google ad on it. In the meantime I'm in the content camp.

Avoid anything with a Google ad? Puh, 30% of them don't know what one is. ;):D

If you put the ads on a framed page, you have to put the ads in the frame which has the content. Your little tricks might work for a while but when people think you're tricking them, they won't come back.
