I have a blog about my quest to make as much as possible from adsense and it specifies how i'm doing with regards to daily earnings from Google. I do not post CTR or other information that Google explicitly bans. Would I be safe putting Adsense ads on that blog, or should I use Crispads instead? I don't have any ads listed at the moment. Dave
hang on hang on hang on... Thought it WAS ok to disclose earnings.. just not CTR? eh? what? there is a thread about it on this forum now, with everyone posting their earnings :S
You can disclose monthly earnings (basically what the check amount is), but you can't break it down further (day, channel, site, etc.)
That's what I thought. As it happens i'm not going to risk it as I'm going to dispaly CrispAds on that blog, but is Google's permission so ambiguous that no-one actually knows? Seems a lot of people are doing it here.
oh, thanks for that. well neform.. you could give a % change in CTR.. I guess? as long as you dont say what you started out at.
"You may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program" It doesn't say gross MONTHLY payments though, does it?
I wasn't aware anyone was paid on any schedule other than monthly, but if you get a check that isn't monthly from Google, you could. Basically what it comes down to is you can disclose any information you get WITHOUT ever logging into your AdSense account (for example the amount of a check you got in your mailbox).
Maybe a difference in the interpretation of gross. In the uk, 'gross income' is 'before any deductions'. Google report gross income to it's users on a daily basis if required, therefore it wouldn't seem unreasonable to quote it. The blog doesn't give daily amounts every day, just a note of a new daily high when reached and a monthly summary of the total (much like here actually). Maybe one of you senior bods could ask? Dave
I find this wording very vague too. I have seen lots and lots of people giving out their daily earnings, but have never heard of google busting anyone for it.
