http://beeriest.com/beer-reviews/ff_name,ReviewList/ff_param_section,4&ff_param_dir=&Itemid=/ If you look in the reviews list in the middle there is an advert, it is randomly placed depending on the amount of reviews in there with a random image I am not sure whether it is breaching or not. Personally I think it is just a very very well blended advert rather than drawing attention to it. It looks more hidden than drawn in. Daniel
My guess is that Google won't like it. You should ask them. They don't want images next to the ads than can be interpreted as being associated with what's being advertised. A beer pic next to a beer ad is probably not going to make them happy. I'm not sure what they'll think about the "rating" stars above the ad. Scott
hmm yeah kind of what I thought. The beer pick just fits in with design so it isnt drawing undue attention. I see the point about the stars but it is just blending it. Though I think I will remove those
Image should be fine. They do have strict regulations on the text header for ads. My guess is that you should take the author rating off from on top of the ad in the bottom section
Server issue its still down and I am waiting for the Host to fix it. Try again in a little while. i amde changes so that it shouldn't breach TOS now
I think it's very grey. You have the "rate it first" text, which makes it look like part of the beer reviews, and it's in almost exactly the same format. I would still call that overblended and misleading.
overblending is not part of the TOS though. They just dont want special attention drawn to it which is not being done
The "Rate it first!" to the right of the ad will get you in trouble. Now you're actively attempting to deceive the visitor.
The actually policy is "Sales or promotion of beer or hard alcohol" I am not selling nor promoting. I already cleared that with Google. I am removing the rate it part now
yup the beer thing is not an issue. I checked my last response from them again, shot off another and asked a fellow beer rater how he got them on his site and he said google had no problems with it (his site has beer ratings and is far more promotive of beer than i am)
