Does the US have to verify their alertpay before using? Is it immediatel active?

I'm in South Africa, and didn't have any delays after opening an alertpay account, before I was able to use it... didn't have to wait for a letter to arrive in the mail... or a code in my credit card bill... it was immediately usable... although it takes a few days to show.

But, a previous time someone had to send me money from the US and he told me that he had to wait for the number and stuff to show on his bill to verify his account... It took about a week... and now someone from the US has to send me money again but he doesn't have an alertpay account yet.

Will there be any delays for him before he can send me the money? Other than waiting for it to show in his alertpay account?

 

No you can use it even if you don't upload your documents.

 

They recently changed their policy. When I signed up, US members didn't have to verify before they could use. Alertpay requires verification before use for "high risk" countries. After their recent update, all business members must also be verified before they can be used, including US
