As in your header graphics? Not at all... if you have <h1> tags in your header, you might want to place the <h1> tag in your content area instead.

Possibly. If you're header contained key words before, but doesn't now, then you will see a big difference. If you are rewriting the copyright in the footer or changing your logo, then there will be no change.

How drastic a change are you talking about?

You need to specific what are the elements in your header.. changing your title will probably change the SERP etc..

    Thanks for the imput guys.

I meant just changing the header graphics, as in the one that is usually above the navigation bar.

I do know that changing the title/content/meta tags will change your rank, just was not sure if changing the header graphics will do any harm, I want to know before I apply the change ;)

Go ahead with the changes :) No worries :D

Just make sure you have the desired alt and title tag for that image.

that depents on what you have changed. for example if you add <h1> tag to your header, it will change but if you change a normal word on your header or footer, it will not effect
