does the page Page Rank count if. . .

    I have noticed on a few sites will have a pr of 5 with the www. at the beggining. However without the www. the PR would be zero.

    If I get a link on the site would the pagerank count???

    Yes. Google treats a site with the www. and without as different sites, but it would still pass PR. PR is divided between all the outgoing links on that page, so the fewer outgoing links, the more PR it will pass to your site.
