    As title says,

I have recently purchased a site and changed all the title tags and h1 tags which has improved my search results significantly. But I want to go that one step further!!!!

Basically its a site on poultry - http://www.poultrypages.com

Taking one page - http://www.poultrypages.com/ancona.html, I have changed the title and H1 from just saying "Ancona" to "Ancona chicken" which is now listing better.

However its still not quite on page one.

If I change the url of the page to something like poultrypages.com/ancona-chicken.html would that help? or would it be a lot of effort with little return.

yes if you want to rank for ancona or ancona chicken, putting the name in the page title will help.

    1. put it in the page title
    2. put it in the header
    3. use it early in the first paragraph and bold it
    4. use it a few times in the copy (don't go overboard)
    5. use it in the last sentence and italicize it
    6. post it to digg, delicious and stumbleupon using the keyword in the title
