I have visited websites which porvide online support by chat when website is loaded and service provider tells it will help by SEO poit of view as well as genating better leads.. i am bit confused .. can any one help on this ..
I don't think it will help in any way. If you are talking about javascript enabled chat support, then its only harming you since javascript is an enemy to SEO. If you are talking about participating in chats and recommending your site links on them, then it should bring some traffic. But that's the end o it. Let's see if anyone else comes with a better idea...
I totally agree with Fox and there is no need to provide such services... You would be embarrassed when few people there talking and actually It's hard to control the topics there
From a SE standpoint, no real benefit. But it can be a good tool to capture potential clients, however.. It can be a negative if your never online. Theres nothing worse then dropping back to a site hoping to catch an operator only to find its never staffed, doesnt create a good image.
