does the new content pages needs to be optimized?

When adding new pages of content to your site.. is it essential to have them well optimized, I mean a huge amount of backlinks pointing to them?

Will this influence the overall rankings of the home-page?

Or just adding them to your site it's enough to have Google know that we have new content live.

I'll make it more simple.. do we need to point new links to our new added pages, or we just need to add the pages and continue pointing our links to home-page.

We ave two choices, I am waiting for your replies,

    thank you very much,
    Dan

for me you need to point new links to your new added pages for quick indexing purpose... But it doesn't really help in terms of gaining PR in overall.

Having stronge inner pages won't effect your overall PR rank.... this is only important if you're selling links in those pages..

I don't care of the PR or selling links..

I care of the overall results for my keywords.
    Will my rankings be influenced?

    thanks

in our optimization process.. we need new content! right? new updates to our site.

these new pages are the new content to my site, so my question is.. will help to point new links to these new pages???

    What will be the effect?
    How will help my rankings?

Get some links to your new page from some good pr pages.
Link it from your home page and other pages if they are having pr and you will get pr on inner links.

Again, I don't care about the PR. About of my home-page nor the new inner pages.

I want just well indexed, and my rankings raised.

    That's all
    thanks

doing both will be helpful, if you get backlinks that would be more helpful.

I'm not sure what do you mean by 'optimize', but getting backlinks has nothing to do with optimizing.

If your main page/site is well optimised and regularly updated --bots will be regular too . So no need to optimize it Off-page. But yes on page optimization is required --like making the url SE friendly with .html.:)

I usually submit article where there is a link from bio to the new text on web-site. It helps to get a PR for this new text faster and seems that good will drive traffic to this page (not root). So I do optimization.

    Hih, optimizing for SEs...

getting links will probably show my pages higher in SEs... talking bout the new pages here... probably for some very non-competitive found somewhere in the text.

yes, in this way we will get the new pages indexed much faster, right?

but is this necessary?? We need the new content indexed as soon as possible, we need this new content having an amount of backlinks pointing exactly to it(not root)???
That it's what I am trying to find out...

Will this new content be marked by Google, as improvements to my site, and get another plus in its quality filter?
Will the direct links pointing to these pages(not root) help doing that?

Sorry for so many questions, but I guess answering them will help us all.

    Best regards
    Dan
