Does the click cost your bid or UP TO your bid?

If you bid, say, $1.00 on a keyword, will the click on a PPC site cost $1.00... or anything UP TO $1.00, depending on competitive bids? Which is kind of like an Ebay auction design.

What about others? I am using Google, Yahoo, ask.com. Is Bing the same site as ask.com? Are there others I should use?

When you bid, it is the highest amount that you are willing to pay. If competitors are bidding much lower, you will pay the next highest increment, not your maximum bid amount. That is basically the same for all the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, and MSN/Bing).

As for what other sites should you use, it depends what your target market is and what you are marketing, but you could always try advertising on a niche site or content matching service (such as Google Adsense). We always custom build our proposals for each of our client's needs.

You never pay up to your bid all the time. The determinant of your cpc will be determined by the following factors:
*your bid in contrast to your competitors
    * your Click through rate of your ads
*your history of you keywords(the older the keywords being active and trading the better)
*your relevancy of your keywords to your ads
    *your quality score.

These will all determine what your going to end up paying for your click per keyword

Click cost depends upon your bid and competitors bid.You will never pay more than your bid.if your bid is $1.20 and your competitor bid is $1 then you will pay near about $1.10.
