Does the backlinked pictures counts as a backlinks?

Hi there,

While participating in a big Forum, I am using an image (linking back to my site) in my signature instead a anchor text.

The question is: Does it counts as a backlinks for SEO porpouses as the anchor text in the links in the signature does?

 

I read once about a way to put your backlink with anchor text in an image. So if someone copys your image and puts it on their site then you'll get a backlink. Try googling it, I think it was someone blog.

 

yes, if the picture is hylerlinked the you will get a backlink form it.
