A lot of page 1 sites I see have a decent amount of text on them, how important is it? I can sum up my site in less than a paragraph. Will it hurt me not writing paragraphs of useless info, re-using the keywords over and over? Thanks!
I didn't know that Speda1, thanks. So repeating keywords out... what about just text in general? 200 words seems very doable, does anyone else have any standard they go by? Is it something I should be worrying about with a re-design? Thanks for the tips!
I'm not sure if there is a quota to how many words you should have but I know that search engines prefer a web page with text rather than a web page without text.
I'm going to let you guys in on the secret to SEO right here. No wait, you must pay me 10,000 dollars. Sorry.
Too much text content may drive away visitors. What are the stats....most viewers spend less than a minute browsing a webpage?
I've found good results with min. text at about 250 words. Fit in your primary key words up top, include those in your page description meta and fit in another key word, but phrased differently, you'll be amazed at how people find your site because their keyword search is slightly off than what you think it should be.
content should be very unique, generally no matter how long it is. But should be well descriptive and providing fruitful information for the same page.
the only way which I think is the best.. build your site targeting the users which will visit your site..Google will come all by itself..
I use link bait in much of my content. To hell with keywords. You end up with blogs linking to you anyway. I especially like baiting big names like shoemoney
No it wont hurt you, infact that is the right thing to do... unnecessary keyword stuffing is a NO NO!
300-400 words and original content, of course this is only a piece of the puzzle to rank well in google, you also need incoming links to your site and to some internal pages. Use 1 keyword every 100-150 words, works for me
