I always here people saying "TV is not how it used to be". As i started thinking about why this is I came to the conclusion that TV only reflects the world's desires. Is that true or does People desire reflect what is on tv? or is it both?

Television creates human desires these days. And it does its thing surprisingly well.

I would say so also, but on another note, they keep cancelling some of my favorite shows, definitely not my desire!!

Yes, they try to provoke aggression, it's a root to other desires dictated by their advertisers and marketers:)

The answer is "Yes." People influence TV and TV influences people. So, TV both reflects and changes peoples' desires -- sometimes simultaneously.
