I have seen a lot of offers to stumble my site in the freebies section, but does it really bring a lot of traffic to your site? I have had 5 or 6 people stumble my site and have not received any traffic. I am sure it would take more than 5 or 6 people stumbling my site to bring any traffic, even if it did work, but I would like to know if it does bring traffic how many stumbles do you need before you start to get traffic? Thanks Clint
It will sometimes generate decent traffic, but Stumble traffic hardly ever converts. Basically, any reasonably successful internet marketer wont waste time on Stumble exchanges.
If site is funny or celebrity sometimes they get good traffic. Most sites have hard time making money off any social boomarking site.
I still think its good for generating a bit of traffic and backlinks. Just ask people to review your site.
the traffic that stumbleupon sends can be okay, but you have to work to keep it... it is tough to make your site sticky enough to keep people on it.
Usually people just constantly stumble, and may not spend more than five seconds on your site... Getting on Digg, Reddit, or Delicious is a much better bet for traffic.
Stumble get´s some traffic but not directed traffic, if you´re using adsense dont expect to get clicks from that king of traffic. (yeah...said traffic way to many times in this sentence). From my recent experience from digg, i get SOME traffic (not more or less than stumble) but a bit more oriented. (more clicks). Basically i just use them to get backlinks in order to get higher PR
I've been doing stumble exchanges for the last few days. And I've got almost 50 stumbles. And I have received about an extra 300 unique hits from it. (Using google analytics). So, yes it does work. Though admittedly they don't stay that long, but with all these hits, someone is bound to stay eventually, eh?
Does work for me ; like all said; not directed and long-lasting traffic, but some stay and actually member up
I have had 5-10 people from stumble last time I checked Google analytics. If you do a lot I think it can work.
According to Google Analytics I've had 140,525 visits from SU on one of my sites in the past 6 months.. Add about 20% for unreported data and it's definitely significant.
It is the #1 traffic source to my blog and the best thing is that stumble traffic is really viral If u can get featured on some of the tags.
I just started using Stumble yesterday and have gotten 50 UV yesterday to one of my sites from StumbleUpon. However no visitor stays long and its not targeted traffic so its almost worthless. However its good for backlinks and if you get the odd visitor who bookmarks your site for future use, then its worth it
Sometimes I have a lot of traffic from SU, then it disappear for weeks. Sadly, it is pretty much useless, with a bounce rate around 98% while bounce rate from organic search and site referrals is as low as 30%. I'm not spending time on that anymore. In my niche, I get much better traffic from yahoo answers.
