I have recieved traffic from stumbleupon but I don't believe any of the traffic i recieved there converted to sales. Most people say it isn't very good quality.

Hi, sites like Stumbleupon are good only for building link popularity for Serps.

PHPGator, you are right in saying that the traffic quality there may not be good. They are not exactly the warm market you are looking for. The most targeted traffic still comes from search engines.

silveraden, use Stumbleupon to build links instead

I receive very little traffic from stumbleupon.com
Relying on stumbleupon.com for traffic is not a good marketing strategy.

I have several hundred from them. 1.6 p/v. These type of traffic is something I wouldn't to have. Most of them will stay 2-3 seconds on your site and move on to the next site.

Stumble traffic is good with the bounce rate generally being around 35% - better than most - you just have to know how to use it :D

I've never received any traffic from stumbleupon. Maybe 10 hits total in 1 year for a niche video site.

In my case the traffic quality from StumbleUpon is not a bad one. They stay on my site longer than 3 minutes and opening around 3 pages, since an increase in the number of subscriber is my conversion goal therefore I hit it nicely with the StumbleUpon traffic.

Whether it's good or bad, it depends on your goal.

I receive huge traffic from SU; meanwhile, I don't have the feeling its a quality traffic. By the way, it helps the SERPS ;-)

I started using Stumbleupon a few months ago and I love it so far. It drives quite a lot of traffic sometimes to each page I stumble!

Agreed. It might be good for adsense / content related websites. I don't think it is very good for ecommerce where you goal isn't numbers as much as it is targeting the people who are interested.

One of my blogs was recently "stumbled". 850 unique visitors in 12 hours. Not one of them clicked an ad though. After that they all trotted off elsewhere.

    Not useful traffic IMO.

It does bring in traffic, but most just surf through leaving your site in a matter of seconds. And the traffic it brings is not really the market that you are in, so the probability of obtaining a sale is very slim.
