Hey, just wondering could anybody share your experience in this niche? Is it worth to start doing this ? Do they pay what they say and how much you get from your traffic. Sharing is caring ;)

If you can find a unique angle, I'm sure this niche pays very well. The problem is, it's oversaturated and extremely competitive. On top of that, the gaming industry is very similar to the RX industry -- in that, it's not looked upon favorably by search engines or advertising networks. This will make it even more difficult to compete since there are less opportunities to promote your website. The opportunities that do exist will be dominated by BIG PLAYERS with BIG MONEY.

I spent several years promoting RX products. I did extremely well in the beginning (before the Internet and the industry became heavily regulated). These days, it's virtually impossible to get an RX-affiliate website ranked well in Google or any other major seach engines. And the big PPC networks (ie: Adwords) won't even accept RX-affiliate sites.

Needless to say, I left the RX industry when the opportunities disappeared. These days I'm doing extremely well with payday loans (see my sig). This is another competitive niche, but I wouldn't say it's oversaturated. Plus, it hasn't been regulated to death and you still have a good chance of ranking well in the search engines. You can also advertise on any major advertising network...

Personally, I'd stay away from gaming. But that's just my opinion ;)

Google doesn't look at certain industries different then others. You are NOT going to get penalized simply for having a gaming website.
