Does someone have to buy that specific item?

Sorry, dumb question but I'm a CJ noob and I'm confused.

Say I sign up with Joe's World-O-Games and I select an ad for his XBox. Somebody clicks the ad but buys a Wii from him. Do I get a commission on the Wii or does the person have to buy the specific system that the ad was for?

 

Welcome to DP.
The merchant states for which items/actions you will get the commission. If Joe's pays commission on sale of WII you will get one, no matter which ad was clicked.
However each merchant may have slightly different conditions, so you should read the merchant's program carefully.

you get commisin on sales of other items too other than the one clicked on.

 

You get paid to send them customers. Can't beat that!

 

Thanks, guys. That's what I thought but one I was reading sounded like they wanted to make a guessing game of it. It'd suck if I sent them a good customer but I didn't get a cut because I guessed wrong. I'll re-read their program.
