does similar content affect google rank?

I copy a page ,and simply change it a little,then what happen to my page and se?
I guess, google see it a copy content,just let it out of indices. or google include the page to indices. question: if google include, does similar content affect my rank?

If your copied content is less then 20% of origal content of that page it will not hurt u & if that page has a good pr then that page never shows supplement results

I have seen these websites they are 100% and old like 5+ yr but its pr is very less
even i have seen some website those are 2 yr old has good pr

google does not punish the similar results but it will filter it and it will not send visitors to those pages

 

I think so. But you can still control the rankings by using other technique that can improved your rankings.
