I understand that signature on forum, like digital point, helps SEO a bit, but to what extend? I believe it helps only cuz digital point has good PR, am i right? Anyone can comment?
They help in lot of backlinks and traffic as DP is a very high traffic forum. Though it helps in PR a little
if you are an active voice in your industry and post often in "relevant" and "related' forums and blogs then signatures will probably help you improve your rankings "a little bit", its not really a strong Linkbuilding way/strategy but it also improve your visibility, trust and exposure in your industry.
Look at this page and tell me what the PR is of it. Then tell me how much PR will be passed to my signature below. The reason I use the signature is to "google bomb" my keyword brand "Internet Marketing Dallas Texas" not to get links.
They produce one really strong backlink if I'm right. I'm wondering whether the PR 3 that iWebTOOL is predicting for me is right, because I have 500 backlinks, and like 400 are from DP.
It sure does help, to define the extent i guess a test would need to be conducted...... But i think its a good practice thats why we all do it.
since sigs appear in every post u make, Only one or two gets counted, rest all are devalued if coming from posts of the same site.. Sig links are good for traffic, but if they come from multiple forums, it will act as diff backlinks...and if the forums are relevant, they will act good.. Do good..
thats good if you are getting 400 from DP, because some thing is better than nothing..............really we can say ............ signature help
Posting in forums with greatly help anyone who does in relevant forums and if that person's knowledge in that industry is considered to be useful. Here DP is having fair amount of traffic and so it is good for gaining traffic.
One way or another, signatures help huge. Backlinks are iffy from forums. Many of them are not too high in the PR department, so you will need quite a lot of them to get any noticeable results. However, I consider the backlinks icing on the traffic cake. The traffic I get from forums is the main reason why I stick around as long as I do. Anything else is just extra in my opinion.
