Does selling links harm SEO?

    Thanks for this information, and to everyone else who has replied.

    I think I will avoid selling links and stick to earning (or trying to earn) with adsense. Fortunately my banner placement for LOVEFiLM has been "nofollow" since I added it to my template. So I've been 100% covered all the time :)

    Lalucochin and mrandrei have rightly marked...it is true, buying and selling links is like a theft and your site might got banned, its against Google's Terms & conditions. "no follow tags" will be a good option.

    Google says thats design your webpage as if there are no search engines yet it openly says don't sell or purchase text links.

    i believe its time people moved on to better search engines.

    And yes i would be purchasing and selling text links if there were no search engines not for the pr but for natural visitors.
