I was doing some reading today and found a book claim that if CTR of a search result is high, it will rank higher the book the book is old so the info might be out of date. Just wonder what's your opinion on this?
Google's AdWords takes CTR into account and Google's patent application from a while ago indicated that CTR may be a factor in natural search results, so it is reasonable to assume that at least one engine takes CTR into account.
If they dont do it now, I am pretty sure it is in their plans for the future. I havent seen any conclusive proof that it happens now - but i always wonder. The trouble is, that you cant do much about it. Perhaps in the future we will see web services that click on your link in the SERPs to drive your rankings up.
it is just like social bookmark, user rate the result..i think that will be used by SE in the future.. as the problem of spamming, there is no way to stop it..as long as there's money, ppl try to hack it
