I had a site directtoindia.com a offshore web development service providing company and i want to start a blog on this site so i think to setup wordpress in the same domain with subdomain. but i m confused that does the search engine support the submdomain and will crawl regularly or not.
my experience is YES, but you must treat it as an independent site with all your white hate SEO techniques in place and Linking back and forth to the main site is a NO NO ! just keep it separate and your ok. Good Luck
yes subdomains are very well recognized in SEs ,,but u need to develope them consistently and give them good conetnt..
yes, sub domain will work fine, but i would like to clear one thing that Google will consider sub domain as a separate website so you need to optimize that sub domain as a new site.
Google no longer considers sub-domains independant from the root domain name. Yes, the will be indexed properly. http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/015621.html
Google still considering sub domains as a independent page.. kindly check this url http://www.google.com/search?q=seroundtable&sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_enIN261IN261 as explain in article given by you.. if google did not considered sub-domains independently than there would be only two result of seroundtable.com but here in this result there are more than 2 result of seroundtable.com that prove that google considering sub domain as a independent page..
i would suggest to choose the subdomain name similiar to your main keyword i.e keyword for which you want to get ranked in SE.
installing a blog on a subdomain is very popular and is good for SEO i've never really heard of it being bad to link back and forth between the main site and the sub-domain though is this true?
yes it will crawl regularly and as far as i know it is also a good thing placing a blog to your subdomain.
I would say that subdomains can help in terms of SEO. However I haven't really tested this out to know how far you are able to utilize subdomains for SEO purposes.
im developing a site which the subdomain names (eg: if you got hire.com subdomaining like coach.hire.com, van.hire.com, limo.hire.com,,,) are high paying adsense keywords. just trying, not sure how effective it will be
Yes.. Google consider the subdomain as a new domain so it will not pass PR to subdomain. But to get more benefits of your blog I suggest to use sub directory instead of subdomain example : http://www.directtoindia.com/blog/
But my site is in html format and i want to add wordpress in my blog so does wordpress support sub directories. as i know it is support sub domain. but i am confuse that it is support sub directory.
