I want to know if sandbox is true or not. If true, Can I over link build my competitors to get them sandboxed? Will it work?

Im not sure about that link building thing, but i do know that google does take into account your domains age which can cause a sandbox affect.

The sandbox is a real effect. Can you over optimise your competitors ... probably not ... if they're ranking for their targeted keyphrases then they're already out of the box ... so all you'd be doing is helping them ... and wasting time that could be spent on your site.

The sandbox is an automatic filter applied for varying time spans on varying keyphrases based on their competitiveness .... your site will more than likely be placed in the sandbox although for how long depends on the niche.

Pro SEOs inform clients of this unavoidable fact & then use this time to build content / backlinks ... so all your friend would be doing is helping your site.

You offer SEO services in your signature ... shouldn't you know this already?

Hi, Thanks for the comments. I dont work on SEO myself. I have a company and my people do work. I am just CEO. ;) I always love to ask doubts in forums as we can get many replies and we can learn lot more than asking to our people as they may have same reply. Got it?

I love talking surveys quite often

i think there's an inevitability that if you go all out to collect links you draw attention to yourself and google may well view your activity as underhand i.e. not natural

There is a lot of debate as to whether the sandbox filter is a good thing for Google to implement or not. Obviously webmasters who are trying to get their sites well positioned in Google do not like the sandbox filter as it prevents them from receiving the huge levels of traffic that a top listing in Google can bring. The filter was not implemented at random, however, and there is some good reasoning for the filter existing.

yes it is a real effect in reality google cast you aside because you have broken the unwritten SEO rules, just try not to add too many backlinks at once and you should be ok

Yes, sandbox is really true and it will surely make your site disappear from Google.
