Hi If I have two domains pointing to the same site, however one site targets US products for sale and the other targets UK products for sale, but the content on the pages is largely the same, is that bad for SEO? An example would be say if amazon.com and amazon.co.uk were the same website but the items for sale(prices and currencies etc) changes depending upon whether you're accessing it via .co.uk or .com Many thanks for your replies
I don't think it will matter. Use the webmaster tools to orient the target market for the .co.uk domain.
If you domain is country specific then yes it will matter. Google webmaster tool won't show you the option to select or deselect GEO target as your domain is country specific.
you domain is country specific when your domain co.uk , it will easy show up your domain first in your country. but it not matter when it goes to first page , cause it depend on traffic to get your domain at the top of first page
You have chosen the .co.uk DOMAIN for UK location target. So what it will matter? Use Google Webmaster target Location for each.
Why don't you make them separated? Only a few changes on product information won't help much. They both would be defined as duplicated website anyway.
