Does revenue go up during holidays?

I had the usually same Page Views, Similar clicks, but instead of the usuall $7-9 per day the past week has been $10-17. I noticed the CPC went up a lot. So is this just the holiday ?

BTW, I also noticed that at about the time the earning went up, I blocked a few ads from the Ad Review Center. They were all in Chinese and when clicked on, the link was even broken. I didnt understand why would they pay to advertise a non working site to an irrelevant audience group. Could it be because of that?

My earning are also very down (%60 of earning before the holidays), but I have the same number of pageviews ...

So in my case, CPC and RPM are very very low this holiday, is that normal ?

Today and yesterday have been pants but things were going really well before that. Traffic is down about 30% but ctr and cpc are down 80% and 90% - maybe advertisers are slowing during business shut downs

The cpc of course is probably better if you have content related to xmas to get those ads with high competition between advertizers.
If you don't have content related to xmas or holidays, then obviously you're missing out as many people are searching for xmas related stuff and activity for other stuff is lower, like during the summer months.

Since I still have some proxies, my earnings didn't increase as most people aren't working or at school, for my normal sites they were average ;)

it really depends on your niche. some sites do well on hiloday season since this is the time of shopping. lot of seasonal marketers wait for this time of the year to promote seasonal products and make a killing in 2-3 months.

It all depends on what kind your website is. If you have shopping, gifts or christmas related site then your revenues should go up.

traffic has been down but my click dollar amounts have been higher. I can only think advertisers are paying more to compete for the holiday sales.

According to me my revenue goes down during holidays as less people come online on my sites on holidays and there is no one searching about actors and actresses of Bollywood on holidays which makes my earning go extremely down and its really bad. I hope every one comes online on holidays.
