Does this tactic still work?, I know recipricol links are no longer as valuable as they used to be. Anyone notice good results form this? Does anyone use this method?
not many will actually link back to you properly they usually do it on a page filled with 500+ other links and a page that cant be gotten to from the homepage
i now charge more for reciprical then i do for featured plus 5 deeplinks at www.1stchoicesearch.com to put people of as there links are a waste of time
I agree with Sasa. In my experience, those are usually low quality links that will do very little for your PR.
I have had few good recipricol's. They were linked to the main site page, but I am going to check into this and become more selective on my recipricol approvals. After a review, I find that I have a number of junk links. Thanks
I accept ricprocal links and ever once in awhile I actually get a link from a "good site". I'm not sure if it helps or hurts though. I have to agree, most reciprocal link submissions I get are BS and I don't bother with them. This is sort of off the topic but why to people even submit their links and try and pull some crap? I know everyone has received "paid" submissions where the payment isn't made. Or how about this one, a reciprocal link submission where they enter YOUR url as the reciprocal. What's the point in going through the trouble when they know or should know it just gets deleted.
Ever since i dropped price to only $2 something on my site for regular listing, more users just pay the $2 and be off with that, instead of going through the hassle of providing me a reciprocal link
Ideally, yes it would contribute to your PR. But with the various methods used by submitters, it's generally more hassle than it's worth. If you consider the time invested, you could buy a link cheaper.
I think that most of the people who will submit to a site requiring a reciprocal link will wind up burning themselves doing it with the wrong sites and then drag you down with them. I believe in selling links and buying links. Unless I see a good site and know the owner.
Really?!? I have been lucky so far, but I do notice that a lot of people who I have exchanged with are not as passionate about good link building and I often end up with the shorter end of the straw.
