It works with repetition. Also make sure you get a good deal on multiple spots.

Advertising your website through any other method except the internet is useless...

No one who is listening a radio would go to his PC just to open what he just heard..he would definitely continue his listening....unless if your ad is almost everytime (very costly)

Advertising on the radio has worked for me on several occasions. The only downfall is it can be really costly, but to say that it's useless is absolutely untrue.

I don't know about you, but I have visited many websites that I was first introduced to via the T.V, or radio ads.. It's just another avenue to explore, and the
audience is just as attentive (if not more) than via other advertising channels. The first time I ran an ad on the radio, I received over 1,500 members the
first day it ran, which was good considering the membership site wasn't a cheap one..

It's all in the product you are advertising and whether it would blend well with the specific audience of that chosen radio station.. for my products I chose
to advertise on an adult oriented channel.. did wonders.

I would sugest it's all in the timing

The Radio advertising is great, my 2nd fav after the internet, why?

You can drive the car whilst listening, do the washing up, build a house or even surf the web. I think that radio and the web go together very well and therefore a good mix of both will do well.

One other comment: the url has to be easy to hear and remember. A long or complicated url on a radio ad will be much less effective than something short and simple.

One interesting perspective about the radio versus print ads is that something heard is remembered much better than something seen. E.g., you are much more likely to remember a phone number if you repeat it out loud instead of just reading it. That is because the brain is wired to remember input from the ears better than input from the eyes. Try it some time.
