Recently most of the web browser have "private browsing" function

as my understanding, private browsing disable all the cookies, temp file, history and data.

is this mean that when visitor visit our affiliate link with enable private browsing..., the link won't able to track it the visitor purchase the item.

if it is truth... it bring a big effect to affiliate marketer. How your opinion?

I am not 100% sure, as I just clear my cookies and cache manually after the session and don't use "private browsing", but to my understanding, it doesnt block the cookies when the person is surfing. This would cause too many problems with many sites that require logging in, such as banking, forums, etc, that all use cookies to track sessions.

I think the browser simply clears the cookies, cache, history, etc when the user CLOSES it, so this should not affect your affiliate commisisons much. The only way this MAY affect them is if the user clicks your ad, then for some reason closes the browser, and then goes directly to the merchants site, the cookies will no longer be present.

I just worry if the user plan to buy the item other time, which mean the next time him/her access, will directly to the seller.
