Hello All, I few questions 1. What is the importance of Press Release? 2. Does that bring you enough visitors and most important, .... clients? There is this very well known company and they have one service of providing press release to 130+ websites. So i want to know the importance of it. Will that be helpful to me and bring me clients? Please let me know your thought, or if you have tried it. Thanks One more question. How does this press release thing actually work?
We use press releases mostly for High PR backlinks. We get very little traffic from the releases themselves.
Press release is a good way to drive traffic to your sites. As for clients your landing page has to do its job. If you submit your article to a good press release site you don't only stand the chance of getting traffic from the press release site. You press release can be picked up by many papers in the offline world. You should consider writing a quality article if you want to get that massive result.
You asked if sending out press releases will work? Yes and no but if you have a worthy news story a press release is a great way to get yourself some free publicity. You asked how press releases actually work? Well, it's really just an article that talks about your product or service. It's a way for you to try and reach the radio, tv and newspaper people. If your story is good enough and gets picked up say by the new york times, you can imagine all that free traffic will be good for sales! You asked if it will bring you more visitors and clients? Yes and no, yes it will give you more visitors but not anything to write home about...it's just one of many ways you should be trying to get traffic into your site. Will it bring more clients, probably not unless you get some coverage, but if you get 2 sales because of one press release then that's 2 sales you would not have had if you didn't publish a press release.

And further suppose the article is the best enough to get picked up. Then will this article be placed on Internet/Computer related Magazines and other top websites since it will be relevant ??
press release is a good way to get the words across on your product, service, or update on your business. how much traffic or sales it will generate depends on where you submit and how many PR sites you submit to. if you submit your PR to a good list of sites, then for a few days you will benefit some additional traffic as long as the press release stays on the front page of google news or google main sites as well as on the recent news of the PR sites. then the traffic kinda die down as the pr moves into the inner pages but thats the way pr works. aside from instant traffic spike, you get backlinks as well. press release is not meant for driving traffic or generating sales on a regular basis but as an added promotional method. thats the way it works best
