Does PR still have an Importance?

This Question asked many times on DP. Any way Google Pr plays an important role in Google SERP. Higher Pr site will get quick index and rank good in SERP.

Pr is not important to me when you do right link building the site gets popular and you get traffic which automatically increases you pr so dont run behind pr run behind right link building methods

The high pr site must having more value then the low pr site, the hi pr site also good in promotion on google and other search engine. So improve your site pr.

Its still a fundamental variable in Googles ranking of your site in their search result. Its still important.

 

It is not very important, you can rank high in serps and have a low PR. Some sites with high pr rank below me and my sites. PR is important if you are wanting to sell your site as an indicator of its authority but thats about it.

 

Page Rank is only a indicator of your work. It indicates that how many work are more needed to get your website into the first page of Google for specific keywords by finding competitor website's PR.

 

PR is important? No! The site is important!!! And good site will have PR.

TBH I don't really think it matters much anymore as it did a while ago, it's just something that takes up a little room on the Google toolbar now. I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me and will probably flame me for this reply but I stand by my comment. Who cares about PR because I don't think Google does much anymore.

I'm sure there are more people who are actually thinking straight, just can't be bothered finding them all.

I'm also sure in the past PR actually had quite an impact on SERPS but I'm pretty sure now it's good for just about nothing, oh except for link selling as RightMan correctly pointed out.

 

Firstly, PR is still a ranking factor for SERP.
Secondly, having a higher PR would usually mean you have more quality backlinks and page contents. This would also be helpful for SERP.

It is still important. Some people tend to get so tuned into it and trying to get more page rank they sometimes forget about their site. They are too busy and concerned with building backlinks, seo, even adsense sometimes. I don't have time to build backlinks and check all kinds of stats, make tweaks all day long just to get another notch in the ol' pagerank. Of course not everyone, but I don't know how some find the time for all that all the time. So for me it is somewhat important, but not too important. I do have other things to work on and deal with, not to mention a life.

 

Well, I have a website which has got PR 1, if I want to sell it then what should be the price for it?
