I got a site, PR 0, ranked #3 in 800,000 results. or # 9 with 10,900,000 results. So I was wondering if PR matters. I thought it did, but now it appears to not matter as much? Don't really know.
Actually if your niche has tough competition then you ll see the difference but remember there are tons of factors deciding the SERPs so you can't always judge on the basis of PR.
PR doesn't matter in SERPs. I have a site with PR 0 and ranking on first page of google for few rich keywords. so do not worry about PR. you need to worry about your traffic and how to get organic traffic.
PR is one of the iportent factor for getting good SERP and also considering many other factors. But its considering the niche and content. If your site have PR 5 and the site is much competitive will get less traffic.
Someway PR does matter in rankings. But how i don't know. If PR is created it must have some importance
There are two types of page rank for google.Toolbar pagerank and Actual Pagerank. One shown on the toolbar and this is the one which we use for knowing the pagerank. This is the Toolbar pagerank. Actual pagerank is for the internal use of Google and it weighs more in determining the SERPS.But it’s updated much more frequently than the toolbar PR. So never mind if your toolbar pagerank is zero.Concentrate on your actual pagerank by writing unique and quality content.
a lot of different opinions here, I think that PR does matter as I noticed that my sites tend to slowly rise in rankings when PR updates.
I don't think it matters much. I have seen a PR0 site at no. 1 for a keyword with more than 1 million search results.
