Does PR juice get pass after using a 301 redirect

I am moving a section (web directory) from one site to another site. Many of the pages have a PR rank of 2 to 4. My question is, when I move the pages and apply the 301 redirects, does Google pass the page rank juice too?

It should. I know many sites do this and it works fine.

it actually should move the entire PR over.

It should move the entire PR over - but some people have been complaining about being sandboxed for doing this. (I suspect they are 301 directing PR to a site which had nothing to do with what the original PR was from.)
