Does PR helps improving Keryowd popularity?

Hi

I need some clarification regarding PR and Keyword pupularity! Please let me know your views.

1) My new website for which I am building backlinks, already has good position on a particular keyword. So- will I get on top once I get higher PR than the first one which has PR4?

Also I have another site that is PR3 but is no-where near the top with the particular keyword. Will the popularity of the keyword improve with the PR improvement?

PR no longer has much relevance when it comes to search engine ranking. It just shows that you have good back links but it doesn't necessarily mean that you will outrank other sites. There are tons of low PR sites that outrank higher ones.

 

Yes, PR helps improve keyword position. But remember that PR is just the gauge of backlinks value; what really help are the backlinks. Also the PR you're seeing in toolbar or anywhere is actually not current PR your site has. Google is infamous for not showing real PR for months in an attempt to dissuade links buying and exchange--they know we tend to stop building links when PR stays the same for many months.

Cut the craps short, my sites pop to top-10 positions, traffic jumps right after link buildings, but PR is just always the same. It doesn't mean PR doesn't help. It helps but current real PR will reflect in the next several months.

 

Page rank is no where releated to keyword popularity. Page rank tels you how many backlinks you have for your site thats it.

Building links is different aspect that comes in seo part its not that if you have high page ranks your site ill get higher position in search results if that is so then we can concentrate only on page ranks alone to get top rankings in google search results

Understand very clearly that you can obtain top rankings in search results only through search engine optimization

keyword popularity is not going to get you pagerankings.

Keyword popularity is something different which comes in seo

Pr does not hurt and may make site show up for some keywords you are not going after.

The post about some sites ranked higher with lower Pr sounds like google of late. Some sites do not even show up any links and looked like banned sites yet rank good. I also see alot of old sites even message boards in google and yahoo results that have no reason to be ranked high.

 

I agree, you get PR by number of quality backlinks you have. But I think PR now has less value in site ranking. Your site can get high ranking even you have less PR.
