Does PR go down after time?

I have a website that's 14 years old, I haven't used it for the past 6 years and my PR went down to PR0, it used to be a PR6. The website has over 200 backlinks and over 160 of those are PR5+.

Note* The website was on a parked godaddy page for 6 years :(

Is there a chance I could get my rank back? if so how long will it take? (all links are still active) I have been working on the site for the past 4 months and it is indexed in Google, its also catching some keywords too with out advertisements.

link:xxxxx.com shows the links in Google.

Note* None of the links we're paid for. 100% Legit. Long time effort.

o yeah I forgot to mention that I haven't advertised the website, I have been the only one visiting it and my virus protection software to scan my pages.

Yes, PR can go down. There could be several reasons why your PR has moved down. One such reason can be the decline in the number of backlinks.

Will it be easy to get it back by ping the links? There really valuable and rare.
