Mine dropped from a 3 to a 2...but I don't really bother with PR anymore. My alexa ranking went up though, so I am pleased with that.
Alexa = Usless because it relies mostly on toolbar and Google PR = Usless cause it cares bout mostly backlinks. So now what is useful ? Its the popularity of any site not its pr. Enjoy.
If you stop getting links to your site, it will eventually loose PR. It won't happen all of a sudden, but will take 2 or 3 PR updates to happen.
I got a site which was PR3 in the first update after I registered the domain. During the second PR update, it got dropped to PR2. PR is important if you are selling links to others who are interested in PR.
\] Sure PR goes up and down and is dependent on many factors as to why it will rise or fall. Now at last we have a member who is thinking commercially, I think the same as millions and millions of people who will visit sites will have never heard of A or G PR but they will visit the site in masses if the site has content or product that attracts them to the site We have a site that has never seen a forum nor cares about PR or A but it is hammered with traffic as the products we sell are in high demand by Joe Public There is a difference believe me between Joe Public & Joe Webmaster
PR doesn't go down and Alexa is the best way to measure traffic. MSN is the best search engine by far which is why google is so jealous. Backwards day.. wait.. maybe its not, but whatever who actually knows when its backwards day or not?
You will surely not die with the current Page Rank. It can go up as well as it can go down and as well as your website can get banned if you step wrong on the promotion road. It is just up to you... Regards
My site page rank dropped from 4 to 3. Now the PR prediction tools tell me that it will rise again to 4.
pagerank is not all that relevant unless you are selling links. But ulitmately yes it can go down at googles behest.
I go a PR2 domain, didn't take care of it and went down to PR0. Other domains of mine went up from 0 to 1-3 in a couple of months with a bit of care.
