Does PPC increase IBL's

    Does using a PPC campaign increase the amount of IBL's and therefore help your SERPS ranking?

    The reason i ask is that i've been doing an analysis on this site ( www.accordproperty.co.uk ). They used to have very few IBL's but they have recently started doing PPC in AltaVista, AlltheWeb, Overture and Yahoo.

    Their main keywords are "Birmingham Property". Their SERPs position in Google seems to have increased (they are first page now). They didn't figure anywhere sometime ago when i did an initial analysis.

    My understanding is that PPC links do nothing for your backlinks.

    I can't say that I know this because I'm an expert in that area...but reading through some of Brad Callen's stuff "www.seoelite.com"...he has stated that PPC does nothing for serps.
